Birthday!!!

Yeah, today it is my birthday which I celebrate in two since it is my twin's birthday also. I never really thought about it but every time we get a present it comes in twos. For example, if my mother buys a birthday card for me than my sister will get one just like it. I guess she always tried to instill in us that we are always treated equally. This means that we both get the same amount of cake, food, love, etc, you get the idea. I guess equality was and continues to be my mother's motto especially when it comes to my sister and I.

So, today my day started very slow. I woke up at 6:30 am and did not technically got up till 8:00 am. I had heard my phone ringed earlier but was too tired to look. When I checked, my mom had left two messages wishing me a very happy birthday. I immediately called her and spoke to her for about 40 minutes. Then I told her I would go eat breakfast but not before having a very important conversation with Sophie (the little girl my mother babysits). Since she can mumble a few words, she thinks she can have full conversations with people but I still can't understand most of what she says; regardless, I think she is so cute and she gets so into what she says that she even laughs as if she was having a real conversation (so adorable!). My mom even told me that she moves her hands and makes facial expressions as an adult would. After talking to my mom and Sophie, I proceeded into the kitchen and discovered that she had left me some flowers with a birthday card so I called her right back and thanked her. Then she asked me to talk to my sister so we could decide on a place to have dinner sometime tomorrow or over the weekend. After speaking to my sister, we agree to do it during the weekend since it is more convenient especially since I want to go have breakfast.

The rest of my day consisted of laying in bed watching television. I also checked Cafe World and Farmville. Then I checked my email and I noticed many birthday wishes from my facebook friends and family. Very sweet! I also received an e-mail from my primary practitioner from Kaiser telling me that all my tests results were normal that I could proceed with the TB treatment which I will take for 9 months. She even placed an order to the pharmacy in Tracy so I would not have to pick it up at Union City.

Since I was getting bored of the programmed television, I decided to watch Desperate Housewives on the ABC website. I had not watched the show in a very long time so I know I missed certain episodes but at least I entertained my self for a while. Around 4:00 pm my husband called me and we agreed in going out for dinner, but first he had to attend baseball practice at West High school. He got home around 6:30 pm with a valentine's stuffed puppy and a birthday card; however, we ended up going to dinner around 7:45, because I decided to straighten my hair which took about an hour and a half to do. Good thing my very understanding husband waited patiently in the office while I finished getting ready. We ended up going to a new place called Famous Dave BBQ. I ordered the blackened catfish and Steve got some sort of barbecue sandwich. I definitely recommend this place because not only was the food delicious, but the waitress gave us free desserts since the meal took a while to come out of the kitchen. Although we did not mind waiting since we were in no rush, getting free desserts was not bad either. During our wait my mother called me to let me know that she had bought a small cake so we told the waitress to pack the desserts to go.

Once home, we sang happy birthday for my sister and myself then we enjoyed a very delicious cake (Chocolate truffle like filling, white chocolate covered, and surrounded with pistachio). I think I will have to work really hard at the gym to burn the extra calories! Oh, well at least I had a great lazy day that ended in a good note. So, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY SISTER AND ME!
